Diana Palace Hotel 4 stars

The Diana Palace Hotel is just under 3 km from Zakynthos Town in the resort of Argassi. The hotel is located minutes from the sand and shingle beach and the resort centre with its bars, restaurants and plenty of shops selling all sorts of leather goods, jewellery and other souvenirs.

Argassi is the oldest town on Zakynthos and is located on the south-eastern coast of the island. It is a busy town that caters for everyone. With plenty of activities and nightclubs and a long beach with lots of water-sports available. Zakynthos is home to the famous ‘caretta- caretta’ or loggerhead sea turtle. These graceful creatures have been nesting on Zante’s beaches for thousands of years, but sadly, are now a rare and endangered species.

One of the excursions tourists can make is a boat trip to Marathonisi, an islet that is a favourite turtle nesting site. You may see some of these magnificent creatures in the surrounding waters, and maybe even spot one or two dolphins.
