Argassi

Argassi is one of the oldest resorts on the island of Zante and is ideal for a relaxing break in the Mediterranean sun.

Sitting close to the slopes of Mount Skopos, Argassi is home to an impressive beach of sand and shingle that runs for around a kilometre along the coast.

Around Argassi, you’ll find impressive scenery inland with forests around the foothills of the mountain whilst the capital is little more than ten minutes away for those who want to take a stroll along the harbour or who have a desire to explore some of the historic sites.

That could include the impressive Church of Saint Dionisios, which is home to the remains of the patron saint of the island.

You might always want to consider boarding a boat to take a cruise around the coast, where you can expect to see a range of marine life including the turtles that have helped to make the island famous.
