Menorca may not be as busy as Majorca or Ibiza when it comes to the Balearics, but that certainly isn’t a bad thing if you’re considering the island for your summer break in the sun.

In fact, to many, the fact that Menorca provides a more peaceful option is a major selling point in itself before you even consider everything that it has to offer.

Like the rest of the Balearic Islands, Menorca benefits from impressive weather conditions throughout the year, with plenty of sun during the summer months and winters where the average temperature also remains comfortable – despite the chance of some showers.

It’s certainly not the place to go if you have a desire to party until the early hours, with the laid back nature of the island being better suited for those who simply want to relax.

Families will be welcomed with open arms as will those who want to enjoy mile-upon-mile of rolling countryside – showing that the Balearics aren’t just about the beaches.

That’s not to say you won’t find some of the best there are during your time on Menorca – which has more top class beaches that Majorca and Ibiza put together.

Still relatively untouched by the tourist trade, Menorca offers the opportunity to embrace the other side of the Balearics and to create plenty of memories that will last a lifetime.
