Punta Prima sits towards the southern tip of Menorca and is famed for its beaches, which are amongst the best on the island.
The stunning white sands are popular tourists but also with the locals, which should serve as a pretty good indication of how good the main Blue Flag beach is.
The beach leads gently into the seas which means the waters around the coast are perfect for a quick swim and suitable for children who want to simply dip a toe in the water.
As well as the warm waters around the resort, the wider coastal area is another major draw for those who head for Punta Prima, with a selection of walks that head up the coast that are worth exploring.
In fact, the resort sits on the Path of Horses that circles the full island – although you won’t be expected to walk quite that far…
Even though tourism is on the up, Punta Prima retains plenty of traditional charm, with the laid back attitude reflected in the bars and restaurants that line the promenade.
You can also find a range of accommodation options, that range from five star luxury for couples to more cost effective family options that can even include waterpark access.
Within easy reach of Punta Prima, you can also visit the island capital Mahon for a touch of shopping, head off to Ciutadella to marvel at the many medieval sights or board the resort train that travels to Binibeca where you can see what a traditional white-washed village looks like.
