Chances are this will be the main reason why you’ve chosen to holiday in PortAventura in the first place, with the huge theme park offering fun for all the family. Tackle one of the tallest rollercoasters in Europe, embrace the speed of one of the quickest and experience everything that the six differently themed areas have to offer.

Costa Caribe

If you want a break from the rollercoasters, then why not cool off at Costa Caribe; PortAventura’s very own waterpark. From King Khajuna, which sees you embark on a free fall from 31 metres, to the 1500m long El Rio Loco lazy river and the child friendly lagoon named after the park mascot Woody, there’s something to cater for guests of all ages.

Ferrari World

Opened in 2017, Ferrari Land is the third park located at PortAventura and is themed around the famous Italian car manufacturer. Home to both the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in Europe, Red Force, Ferrari Land won’t just appeal to motoring fans and offers rides and experiences for all ages.

Dine in style

If you think theme park food is all about burgers and chips then think again. During a stay at PortAventura, you can sample more than 20 different restaurants that offer cuisine from around the world, ranging from local Mediterranean fare to tastes of Mexico and China. You can also sample a top class steak and don’t worry, burgers are on the menu…

Barcelona

If you want to spend some time away from the park then you can be in Barcelona in around an hour if you take the train. Explore history and culture at every turn, enjoy some retail therapy or maybe catch a match at the Nou Camp. Like at the theme park, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

Hit the beach

There is man-made beach within PortAventura at Bahamas Beach, but if you want to sample the real thing then head for Cambrils, where there are more than half a dozen top class beaches that have all been awarded Blue Flag status.

Dance until the early hours

If the hotel entertainment isn’t to your liking with PortAventura, then why not head off to nearby Salou instead? Here there are plenty of bars where you can enjoy some live music on an evening as well as clubs playing the best tune.

Seek out souvenirs

If you want to find something to take back home then you can choose from a range of shops within PortAventura itself, or head for Salou where there is a mixture of stylish boutiques and traditional old markets waiting to be explored.
