Travel to Torremolinos with us

Torremolinos was one of the first villages on the Costa del Sol to develop for the tourist industry and has become a top class resort for those looking to embrace the Spanish sun during their annual HOT Holiday.

Popular throughout the year, the resort is well suited to couples, families and groups of friends alike thanks to the varied range of accommodation options that are available.

No matter whether you are working to a tight budget and are looking for a simple self catering apartment, or are seeking 5* luxury in the best All Inclusive hotels, Torremolinos isn't short of places to stay.

As with most resorts on the Costa del Sol, Torremolinos benefits from favourable weather for the majority of the year, with plenty of sun during peak season and comfortable temperatures throughout the winter months.

It makes the resort the ideal option for an late season getaway, with the short flight from the UK and the fact that the airport in Malaga is relatively close by being well suited to those travelling with children.

It will come as little surprise that the beaches are one of the main selling points of a holiday in Torremolinos, with half a dozen spread along the coast within the resort.

Playa Bajondilla is the most popular with tourists who want to lie back and enjoy the sun, but the likes of Playa la Carihuela, El Saltillo and Montemar are also worth considering if you want to top up your tan. Alongside the beach, you'll also find a promenade packed with shops, cafes, restaurant and bars which means you won't need to go far from the sand if you need supplies or simply want a break from the sun.

Changing facilities and toilets are amongst the other excellent facilities to be found at all the main beaches.

A stroll through the streets away from the beach will give an indication into what Torremolinos used to be like, with a number of old historic buildings still standing from the days when it was once a quaint fishing village.

The area around the marina in particular features a number of the older buildings and is also home to plenty of top class restaurants that specialise in freshly caught seafood. If that isn't your thing then don't worry, as restaurants across the resort will provide the chance to sample cuisine from around the world.

You'll lose find plenty of bars for both daytime and evening entertainment, with the opportunity to dance until the early hours in bustling nightclubs or to simply enjoy a peaceful drink with the family before retiring to your accommodation for the evening.

Alongside the entertainment options, Torremolinos offers visitors a range of shopping from designer stores to small market stalls alongside the streets whilst there are plenty of family friendly attractions nearby - ranging from the boating lake at the Parque La Bateria to the Aqualand Waterpark and the Tivoli World theme park in nearby Benalmadena.

Harbour dining

A visit to the working harbour is a must if you are a lover of seafood, with the boats that head out to sea every morning bringing back a selection of marine specialities that head straight for the nearby restaurants. Snapper and langoustine are just two of the specialities.

El Ranchito

El Ranchito is the place to go if you want to sample a top class Andalusian horse show, which is held on a weekly basis at the local riding school. It's certainly an experience worth checking out during your holiday but one you'll need to book in advance to make sure you can get a ticket.

There's also a maze and the chance to see a collection of exotic birds.
