Salou

PortAventura

You can’t go to Salou on holiday and not visit nearby PortAventura, which is one of the top tourist attractions in Europe. Spain’s largest themepark offers fun for all ages, from giant rollercoasters for the adrenaline junkies through to a Sesame Street themed area for young children.

Costa Caribe

This Caribbean themed waterpark is part of PortAventura and is the water equivalent of the popular theme park. Expect to find something to cater for all ages with huge chutes and slides sitting alongside splash zones and wave pools. Fun for all the family is pretty much guaranteed.

Fountains

Located on the promenade, the Cybernetic Fountains have been wowing visitors to Salou for over a decade. During peak season, a fascinating light show lasting around 20 minutes takes place on a regular basis. The Illuminated Fountain, open since the 1970s, provides a similar show from more than 100 jets.

Bosc Aventura

This multi-adventure park sits in the heart of Salou and offers visitors the chance to partake in a range of different fun-filled activities that include minigolf, paintballing and ziplines that allow you to fly through the trees.

Botanical Gardens

The ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of the resort, Salou’s Botanical Gardens are home to a wide range of different plants as well as various butterflies, and is something of a haven of relaxation for anyone wanting an afternoon stroll.

Salou Lighthouse

Take a stroll out of town, or hop on the tourist train that travels around the resort, and you’ll soon reach the lighthouse that looks down across Salou. As well as being an enjoyable stroll, you’ll be able to take in the impressive views across both the resort and out to sea.

Hit the bars

Pay a visit to Avinguda de Carles Buigas and you’ll be able to take your pick from a wide range of bars on an evening, offering a varied selection of entertainment from live music to karaoke. You’ll also find a selection of clubs where you can dance until the early hours.

Tarragona

Take the short trip to Tarragona and you’ll be able to explore ancient Roman ruins that have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are also countless religious monuments that combined, provide the chance to explore Spanish heritage and culture.
