Further Hotel Information

Mimosa Beach Hotel is set in a quiet location on the outskirts of Protaras and has access to the sandy beach and sapphire blue of the Mediterranean Sea at the bottom of the garden.

The local bus service runs every 20-minutes and takes you to either Protaras one way, or Agia Napa the other. Both journeys take about 10-minutes.

The area of Protaras first became a popular resort in the 1980’s when it was built as a more sophisticated up-market resort than its lively neighbour Agia Napa. Since then it has grown into a bustling, vibrant town. The resort’s main beach, Fig Tree Bay, has a little island you can swim out to and has lots of water sports to indulge in.

An excursion to Varosha is one of the area’s most visited places. This town was evacuated overnight after the Turkish invasion in the 1970’s. It has remained deserted ever since, with locals calling it a ‘ghost town’. A boat trip can take you to the protected nature park area of Cape Greco, which is also great snorkelling territory.
