Travel to Puerto Vallarta with us

Beach holidays in Mexico aren’t all about the Caribbean coast, and there isn’t a better example of that than Puerto Vallarta – arguably the top resort to be found on the Pacific side of the country.

Although further away from the Caribbean, Puerto Vallarta benefits from a similar climate to the likes of Cancun, with plenty of sun to be enjoyed throughout the year.

During the summer months there is the chance of rain showers, but is also when the temperatures will be at their highest; running into the 30s.

Visit during the winter and you’ll encounter less rain but will still benefit from temperatures that run well into the mid-20s.

Although always one of the more popular places to visit within Mexico, Puerto Vallarta was really put on the map during filming of the movie The Night of the Iguana in the 1960s thanks to media coverage of the affair between Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.

That attention saw increasing numbers of people decide to visit, with government investment helping create better access and tourism development booming.

One of the big selling points when it comes to Puerto Vallarta is the impressive beaches that line the coast, with mile-upon-mile of sand to be enjoyed.

That ranges from quiet beaches where you can escape the crowds to family friendly areas where those with children can make the most of the chance to cool off in the clear blue waters of the ocean.

There’s also plenty of places where you can take to the water to try your hand at different watersports if you are one of those people who prefers to stay active.

The most popular area of Puerto Vallarta itself sits right alongside the beach, with plenty of bars and restaurants in which to sit back with a drink or to sample fine dining, as well as a range of different shops and boutiques.

You can also expect to see artists showing their skills along the street or can catch a show in one of the different theatres – including some outdoor - where nightly cabaret is a feature.

With plenty of opportunities to sample local goods and a raft of fun-fuelled activities inland from the coast if you decide to explore the jungle areas, you’re sure to enjoy a HOT Holiday to Puerto Vallarta.

You can also tackle natural waterslides and even have a ride in a skydiving simulator.

Head along the Malecon boardwalk and you’ll be able to see Puerto Vallarta at its very best. It’s the place to go to sample some of the best food and to find the best entertainment, whilst you can also enjoy watching the sun go down on an evening whilst sat alongside the promenade with a drink. Once that sun has set, the Malecon comes alive to the sounds of late night salsa music and you can dance until the early hours if you so desire.
