You’ll also find that there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby when you need to cool off and seek refreshments, with the summer months offering plenty of chances to party until late both on the beach and within the city.

Off the coast, there is the chance to enjoy a range of different watersports – with diving being particularly popular.

Spend some time exploring and you can’t help but be impressed by the impressive art deco architecture that dates back to the 1920s and 1930s, with the old and new blending together thanks to the modern day skyscrapers that now dot the landscape.

On a break to Miami, you’ll find yourself with easy access to the famous Everglades region, which offers the opportunity to see another side of Florida.

Here, you can hope to spot the native crocodiles that are to be found within the water during a spectacular ride on an airboat.
