Amadores

Amadores is a hillside resort located to the south west of the island of Gran Canaria and is still a relatively new option for those heading for the island on their HOT Holiday.

It’s quite a quiet destination so it isn’t the place to go if you are a bit of a party animal, and is more suited to those who want to relax on the beach and take it easy.

Located near to Puerto Rico and Puerto Mogan, Amadores can be reached with ease from the airport and benefits from year round sun that means you can expect to encounter decent weather no matter when you visit.

Amadores is home to one of the top beaches on the island, with a curved bay that has been given Blue Flag rating.

Whilst the spotless sand is ideal for relaxing under the sun, the protected bay is also a good place to hit the waters and cool off – which is part of the reason why families are drawn to the resort.

Alongside the beach, a small promenade features a range of restaurants and bars in which to grab refreshments or to make the most of the low-key evening entertainment.

Away from Amadores, Puerto de Mogan is a short taxi ride away and somewhere where you can book onto a trip out to sea to go whale watching or fishing.

You could also head for Puerto Rico for some retail therapy in the various shopping centres, with stunning cliff top paths on which to embrace the coastal views.

Alternatively, you don’t have far to go to reach family friendly waterparks that offer fun for all ages.
