The Pirates Village isn’t so much a hotel with waterpark, but given the facilities that are available, we thought we could stretch the boundaries a little to fit it onto the list…
Situated in Santa Ponsa on the island of Majorca, the award-winning 3* hotel has been designed with one thing firmly in mind.
That is to provide fun and entertainment in the sun for families, and it certainly delivers in spades.
As the name suggests, the hotel has been designed around a pirate theme, and offers both self-catering and All Inclusive holidays.
Accommodation is provided in a range of apartments that can sleep up to five people, with some including access to your own private terrace.
Dining is available at the Pirate’s Tavern buffet, where there is a special area for children, whilst there is also a snack bar on site.
The centre piece of the resort is the large outdoor freshwater pool area, which includes a separate area for children and plenty of space for sunbeds on which to top up the tan.
The pool features a selection of slides that will keep the children entertained, whilst there is also a splash park with tipping buckets and sprinklers; the ideal way in which to cool off as the sun beats down.
Entertainment runs both during the day and into the evening, with guests able to take part in a selection of games and enjoy professionally produced shows.
The pirate theme is once again evident, with spectacular shows taking place alongside the pool.
There is also a children’s club that offers a range of activities for youngsters aged from 3-12, with those children booked on a self-catering break able to eat for free at the children’s club.
