If you decide to head for the sunshine state of Florida for your summer holiday then there will be no shortage of options when it comes to sampling a waterpark.

We couldn’t just fill our list with them though so had to select one, which brings us to Typhoon Lagoon – one of the parks that makes up Walt Disney World.

As you would expect from a Disney park, there are attractions for all ages within Typhoon Lagoon starting with Bay Slides, Ketchakiddee Creek and Castaway Creek – all of which are geared towards children who are still at preschool.

When it comes to the more challenging slides, the near vertical drop of Humunga Kowabunga is hard to beat for thrill seekers - although the Crush ‘n’ Gusher raft ride and Gangplank Falls will run it close.

Visit during the summer months and you might even get the chance to meet Lilo and Sitch from the hit film of the same name as they spend some time around the pools themselves.
